Point System Overview
Runners are awarded with points for each race. Each race has a point available by participating in the theme/donation and by placing overall and within your age group. (unless otherwise noted) The points system is based heavily on participation (donations) so be sure to max out donations to give you the best shot to win!
You must participate in the event in order to earn any points for the race
Prizes
– Top 2016 points earner will win a vacation getaway! (Details TBD)
– Top 10 points earners will receive prizes (Details TBD)
– Winners must be present at 2016 Lights in the Parkway 5K (or Allentown Lights 5K) — winners will be notified in advance

Overall Points (based on top 10% of participants)
– Overall top male/female runner will receive 2 points
– Top 10% of finishers both male/female will receive 1 point

Age Group Points
– First place finish = 3 points (Please note, overall winner is included in earning age group points)
– Second place finish = 2 points
– Third place finish = 1 point
(Age groups are 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+)
End of season ties will be broken by # of races participated in, age group place (i.e. # of first places in age group, # of seconds, etc), & a coin flip
2016 Points-Eligible Events*
Earn Your Beer Series – Event #1 Brew to Brew 10K+ Allentown to Bethlehem – (April 16, 2016) – We are excited to work with the Center for Animal Health and Welfare for this event. A portion of event proceeds and food sales will be donated. Series points will be awarded based on finish placements and a donation to the center. Runners can earn 5 points per donation (up to 10 points available) by donating the following items: Wet cat food, Wet dog food, Laundry detergent, Cat litter, Cat toys, Small plastic litter boxes, Large dog leashes, Paper towels, Toilet paper, Mr. Clean erasers
Earn Your Beer Series – Event #2 – Weyerbacher Hill Challenge Easton – (May 14, 2016) – The Weyerbacher Hill Challenge will support Lily’s Hope Foundation. The Lily’s Hope Foundation supports families with premature babies by donating supplies to help with their their transition home from the NICU. Runners can earn 2 points per donation (up to 10 points available) by donating items found HERE.
Earn Your Beer Series – Event #3 Funk 5 Miler – Emmaus June 4, 2015) — Donation to TBD
The Lemon Run – Dorney Park – (June 5, 2016) – 1 pt for each dollar raised for Alex’s Lemonade (up to 10)
Jest Run 5 and Dime Challenge – Weyerbacher Brewing – Easton – (September 18) – Pet supplies – 1 point for each item donated (10 maximum)
Racin’ Bacon 5K – Easton – (November 6) – Food Donation – 1 pt for each non-perishable food item donated (10 maximum) — Earn 2 bonus points for each person you refer to run!
Lights in the Parkway – Allentown – (November 23, 2015) – PRIZES AWARDED! Must be present at Lights in the Parkway to obtain your prize.
